Emerald is just the front end. Removing it will have no effect on your SQL
database or authentication, etc.

Which machine is having the problem printing? The server or the
workstation? If you're going to uninstall/reinstall Emerald, I'd only
bother doing it on whatever computer is having the problem you described
earlier. I don't even know if it'll fix it. I had a printing problem
(related to CR files in some way) pop up on one of our workstations here and
I was able to fix it by wiping out Emerald and reinstalling it on that
computer.
