Danny,

You have to restart RAS because these parameters are transmitted to each
modem when the service starts. The good news is you can do this from
the GUI administrator, at least you can for RAS.

No fix that I have heard about.

Thanks for the Tip.

Indeed, somewhere in the CurrentControlSet registry, I saw that
the modems
had S19=5 ( meaning disconnect if idle for more than 5 minutes )
eventhough
I set the modems to disconnect after 10 minutes in the NT
control panel.

I changed the registry setting to S19=10 .

Questions:

1. Will the change take place immediately or do I have to
restart the RRAS
or RAS service first ?
2. Is there a fix to this already ?
