You will need to "swap" a few of the lines.

Your options are:-

Table A-1 Null Modem Cable

2 TXD Transmit Data Output 3
3 RXD Receive Data Input 2
4 RTS Request to Send Output 5
5 CTS Clear to Send Input 4

6,8 DCD Data Carrier Input 20
Detect
7 GND Ground 7

20 DTR Data Terminal Output 6,8
Ready

Straight-through Cable

Table A-2 Straight-Through Cable

Pins (Port) Name Definition Direction Pins (Modem)
2 TXD Transmit Data Output 2
3 RXD Receive Data Input 3
4 RTS Request to Send Output 4
5 CTS Clear to Send Input 5
6 DSR Data Set Ready Not used 6
7 SGND Signal Ground 7

8 DCD Data Carrier Input 8
