That's funny. I have a few Total Controls and I have had NO problems with
them.. Two of them are in
remote cities and they have not given me a minutes trouble. I also like
having the room to support up
to 336 v.90/ISDN calls per chassis which I don't believe any of the other
chassis are doing at this time.
As for the $2k per year for a service contract, I do not have a 3Com
service contract. My service contract
is through Source Technology (www.source-technology.com) and they provide
awesome support for these
boxes.
I am currently running the beta code on the HyperDSP (1.2.2) and the
release code on the HyperARP
(4.0.29) and both are working flawless with Emerald and RadiusNT thanks to
Jeff Binkley's extra attributes. :)
These are actually some very nice NAS. Granted, there are things that need
to be worked on, but if there
was a company out there that had 100% compatability and 0 complaints then
all of the others would be out
of business. I for one do not see that happening in the near future.
