56k Circuits

I have two NT servers connected by a 56k circuit, and need to increase the
bandwidth. Other than going to a T1 (ISDN not available), it looks like I
either must add another 56k line and dual feed them, or use compression
DSU's.

What experiences have all of you had with dual feed 56k's or compression
DSU's on a single line? What would you recommend for the best performance? I
am using RRAS at both ends currently, with the DSU piped into a serial port
on the NT machine, set to 56k on the port. If I use compression DSU's, will
the serial port limit the bandwidth to 56k, nullifying the compression? Is
there any kind of a port card available for NT with better bandwidth
capability, or will I need to bypass the NT machine altogether and use a
router into my ethernet?

TIA,
