Why wait??? The USR box will be guaranteed upgradeable. And x2 modems
will connect with USR TC faster than the v.PCM standard. The standard
deals with the shaping and how the modems establish the connect. There is
still plenty of room for each modem manufacturer to tweak the code to their
own modems.
