IMail problem

Hi,

I'm running Imail on a NT 3.51 SP5 system. About every month it seems to
crash. I don't believe this is an Imail problem, but I thought I'd post
just in case somebody has had a similar problem (whether it be with Imail or
otherwise).
This machine went through a nasty brownout at one time (while we were first
loading the OS and other software). We thought that the brownout might have
caused damage, so we swapped everything out except for the Adaptec 2940 and
the Seagate Barracuda drive. Everything seems to work fine, except for the
Imail crashes.
About every month, for some reason the SMTP and POP3 server log an error in
the Event viewer saying that they have terminated. They both immediately
restart, but the SMTP server doesn't work. If I try to send any mail, I get
a response saying that 'the domain is not a gateway' or something like that.
If I get Imail up and running and wait for close to a month and reboot the
system, I usually find myself in the same position (SMTP server loads and is
running, but won't work).
The only way to fix the problem is to uninstall Imail and then reinstall
(overwriting doesn't work).
I'm wondering if data for the SMTP server is eventually getting corrupted
or overwritten??? No other services or anything seems to have a problem.
Anybody experience similar?
I hate having this server go down, so soon I will buy another controller
card and disk and hope that solves the problem.

Thanks,

Lance
