You can:

1. Install Emerald4 Web server on your local computer and use ODBC to point to your Emerald4 database.

2. Run Ad-Aware on your computer to make sure you don't have funny program that screws up your Internet Exploror.

I had a similar problem like you do and found out that it was some Savecom or some other spyware that kept on crashing PDF engine.

Hehe, Don't you just hate "probably" answers. They don't give you that warm fuzzy feeling we'd all like. =)

I also have the same problem with the report printing and displaying. And sometimes I'll attempt to do a report and get some generic one of SomeBSDguy.com ?! .. Anyhow there are apparent problems and I have attempted the last 6 months to track them down with no avail. I have cleared up many memory leaks and other problematic queries, but none that have solved the question at hand.

Essentially I don't have to reboot, I merely shutdown the EmeraldWeb Service and Restart it. So I know the problem exists somewhere in there.

If any answers are found please post them as I would greatly appreciate being able to fix this problem.

Adding an index (non-contraint/unique) probably will not affect Emerald.
