If I remember correctly, most registry settings for IIS3 are at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC
I don't know if you can set execute permissions on specific subdirectories
though--it's been quite a while since I've used 3.0 and can't remember.
