You have to remember that the Hiper ARC and the Hiper DSP is set for 256
timeslots per physical slot. Therefore the first slot is 0-256 then
257-512, etc... this is because within a very short period of time the same
slot will take 4PRI and then maybe even more. If you limited yourself to
just 0-24 then you would have to totally revisit the Hiper ARC when the new
technology arrives. BTW have you ever looked at an Ascend TNT? It uses
similiar numbering.
