The Livingston (now Lucent) PM3's and PM4's send back the result to the
caller.

A client of ours verifies this with his own dialer software.

If they enable the show terminal window option, they can see thereason. However, the PPP protocol has not provisions for usermessages. RadiusNT does send the reason back in the RADIUSmessage attribute, however its up to the NAS/PPP dialup tosend that message to the user (none do that I know of).
