[RadiusNT] NAS question

Are NAS's supposed to remember the last Session-Timeout ?

Here's what I mean ...

I used RadiusNT 2.5 to do TimeBanking. Note that I removed the
Session-Timeout entry in RadATConfigs for any PPP user.

Next, I set the "test" user's TimeLeft to 1 minute. Then I logged-in as
"test" and was successfully disconnected after 1 minute.

Then I logged-in as "john" . The Subaccounts entry for john does not have
any TimeLeft value. I logged-in as "john" and got disconnected exactly after
1 minute.

It seems my NAS remembered the last Session-Timeout value. Do all NAS's act
this way ? My NAS is a USR Netserver 16 with version 3.3.0 firmware
(licensed by USR from Livingston).

Is this why there is a default Session-Timeout entry in RadATConfigs to
"un-remember" the last Session-Timeout ?
