[Emerald] Calls Table Purging

How is everyone keeping their calls table to a reasonable size?

I have both monthly, quarterly, and yearly customers who use surcharged
services such as an 800 dialup number.

As I understand it, the calls consolidation goes thru the calls table and
after totaling calls it marks each somehow so that it knows that call has
already been counted.

If I were to write a script that goes thru and deletes these marked calls,
wouldn't this mess up my yearly or quarterly billing of surcharged services?

How is everyone else handling this?
