Dale,

Quite some time ago on this list you said that the new versions of Emerald=
only work to 2 decimal places.
You said the formula for calculating an Annual with a termed discount of=
20% and a monthly rate of $25 should be:

$300 x .80 =3D $240

That has caused us quite a nightmare.

Our Annual rate is $200
Our monthly rate is $25
The termed discount that works with 4 decimal places is a 33.3333%=
discount.
We get an invoive for $200.04 for our annual customers.
We have to invoice them in 2.5.263 to get a $200.00 invoice. It is a major=
pain.

We have tried everything in trying to get $200 for the annual rate and have=
found that no formula will work at 2 decimal places.

So, finally we accept the face that we have to change our annual rate, but=
want it as close to $200 as possible without going over to save customer=
bitching headache.

We tried

Monthly rate $20
Discount 16.67%

That should make the formula: $240 x .8333 =3D $199.99
It works great on paper and even shows $199.99 in the Emerald services=
window under cost.

But when you invoice the next term we get an invoice for $200.04
This makes no sense whatsoever.

Apparently there is a different formula used to display the cost that there=
is to creat the invoice.

PLEASE HELP US FIX THIS ASAP.

Thanks,
John
