Malformed packets RadiusNT v2.5

I've enabled accept malformed accounting packets
in RadiusNT v2.5 Administrator.

What does this option do?

If packets are malformed, are they still processed?

If not, why accept them...? ...or why would
you enable this option?

Please explain... thanks in advance!
