Text backup is a semi-experimental option for ODBC mode.

Yes. Basically if RadiusNT loads the users file when it starts and
if it runs into ODBC problems, it will fail over to the text list.
This hasn't been tested that much and there still is a lot of
issues to deal with.

Basically, this option is suppose to tell RadiusNT to load the user
list from the database and save it to the users file, as well as use
it for ODBC problems. Its really just a shy step past theory right
now. Both of those options should really be invisible, but I
decided to see if someone want to play with them and give some feedback
so far.

I believe most of this has been corrected.

Thanks for the additional information....

BTW...

I just logged into the FTP server and under /RadiusNT all subdirectories except "rfc" come up with "550 Oracle: Access is denied"

Under /Emerald all subdirectories come up with "550 Oracle: Access is denied"

Thanks,

Ronnie

I've reset all the permissions and things should be fine now. We hadsome sever issues this morning, and the permissions seemed to have gotten a little whacked. :(

Hi all,

We have a puzzling problem. We are using radius and running it indebug mode. Looking at the information scrolling by, some users appearnot to be authenticating. We are running radiusNT in odbc and text mode. The user which is not authenticating has a valid record in thesubaccounts table. All the information in the subaccounts table wasimported from an external source. The masteraccounts table was notpopulated. Looking at the SQL Trace of what was going on in thedatabase, the SQL statement that is authenticating the user is pullinginformation from both the masteraccounts and the subaccounts table.Could this be the reason why some users are not authenticating if thereis no information in the masteraccounts table??

It really is a puzzler because logically no one should be authenticatingbut some people are authenticating. We tried the authentication on bothRadiusNT 2.2 and RadiusNT 2.5 with the same result. Help...............
