Hello Dale.

jeff.binkley@asacomp.com (Jeff Binkley)

Had written back to Lamar with the definitions below (thanks Jeff):

Here's the definition of 50 and 51 from the 3Com RADIUS dictionary
file for the TC hub.

ATTRIBUTE Acct_Multi_Session_ID 50 string
ATTRIBUTE Acct_Link_Count 51 integer

However, even though I entered these attributes via "Emerald Admin, Config
Radius, Attributes section" as you indicated below, the

"Received unknown attribute 51"
"Received unknown attribute 50"

messages still come up.

Is this something that is worth even being concerned about?

Thank you.

Did you restart RadiusNT? The dictionary is cached upon startup.
The attriubutes typically have dashes to seperate the words, not
underscores. Its not a big deal, though.

If the error is still persisting, includ the full -x15 debug fromthe receive to the resp line.

This error means one of the fields listed above doesn't match afield in the CallsOnline query. Actually, this looks like a bugin RadiusNT 2.5, since it should be "username", not "usersname".You could modify the query to have the column named usersname fornow until we can release a correction for it. > If someone can say me which value I need to use in table ServerAccess,> StartTime and StopTime. They are minutes past midnight. SO if the customer can logn 8am to5pm, it would be Start: 480 and Stop: 1020 (17*60). RadiusNT understandsthat a start time larger than a stop time means wrap midnight. Soreversing the numbers would mean the user could login from 5pm to8am.

You did leave out the one very important piece of information that shouldalways be included in a support question: What version of RadiusNT youare using.

I just check the 2.5.110, and it doesn't have this misspelling.

Is there an easy way to do this on a per user basis? Iguess I could setup an AccountType for the user and populatethe ServerAccess table for the new account type, but with acouple hundred ports, it seems to be a long process. UnlessI'm doing it wrong?

Check the Calls Table in Access and make sure that the field name isNASIdentifier. If not change the field name to this and see if this fixes theproblem...

Thanks for the information on the documentation. I found the referenceand have a question.

I need to grant access for an accounttype from midnight to 0800 and 2000to midnight. According to the table layout it looks like I could onlygrant access either from midnight to 0800 OR 2000 to midnight but notboth for a single account type. Any suggestions?

Also, if server access is enabled do I have to populate entries for allpossible servers so a valid record is found?

Thanks...
