I wish to remove an older 16 bit isa 10mb nic and replace it with a 10/100
card pci. How can I keep it so I don't have to reenter all the ips for the card.
the card does not seem to function on ne2000 driver.

thanks
mark

Mark,

NIC IP addresses are in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Services\<NIC Card driver>\Parameters\Tcpip in a
value named IPAddress where <NIC Card Driver> is the device driver name for
your NIC, such as NE2000 or E100B. Be sure to match up the SubnetMask value
as well. You have to use REGEDT32 - Regedit doesn't support REG_MULTI_SZ
values. If you don't fully understand what you're doing, you may not want to
do this. Manually editing the registry is risky business! But I have used
this method successfully to transfer 126 IP addresses from one card to
another in about 30 seconds.
