Expire field locked out

We are running Emerald 2.1.11 and Radius 2.5, and have been for a while with
very few problems. Now for some reason I can't change the "Expire" field on
the "Billing" tab. The numbers are gray instead of black. It seems to be a
permission problem somewhere, but I'm at a loss as to where to start
looking. I added a new operator hoping Emerald would allocate default
permissions, but it didn't help.

Any Ideas? Anyone? Please!!

Just found out that if I add a new customer MBR, then magically I can change
the Expire field on all records. Unfortunately as soon as I close the
Emerald Interface and restart it the problem returns...???
