We keep getting the following error when we try to email invoices: "Invoice
##### Not Mailed". We have double checked the settings according to the
manual. What do we need to do to get this to work?

Dear Geo,
I find it very hard to believe that Linux doesn't do threading very well.
Sounds like a setup problem or a distribution problem (RedHat or Caldera.) I
do plan on benchmarking the two databases in a project I am working on with
a friend. If you would like to know how the tests come out please send me
your E-mail. This will take a few weeks.

Linux runs good when doing a single query, but doing multiple queries sucks
bigtime compared to MSSQLserver. Linux doesn't do threading real well, it
didn't appear to be mySQL but instead looks like an OS issue.
I was looking into it for a different db application, don't know if emerald
would make much difference or not but I suspect not.

Interesting, why not? All of my admin machines run WIN95 except for the

I get this a lot as well, I don't believe it to be an OS issue but
mostly human error.
Check and see who the invoice belongs to.
Look up the account, under billing, make sure that the send method is
Electronic mail.
Lastly, check under the service for the account in question and make
sure they have a full email address and that the Send Bill option is
checked.
Other than that, I would look at the mail servers logs to see what is
happening, or if Emerald is not getting the mail to the server, check
your client config, SMTP from the administrator.

It has something to do with the SMTP component that Emerald uses... We have 5 95 computers and have never been able to email invoices... but all NT workstations and servers work fine...
Dale's answer... it will work in the next version....

We have just begun selling web TV sets, the units have to use either PAP orCHAP, preferably CHAP. Can emerald with RadiusNT use this authenticationmethod? And if so how would I set it up?

On the RadiusNT side, it doesn't matter. It will handle both as long as you are not authenticating from the NT SAM or or a UNIX passwd file. There is no differing setup.

The control we use for SMTP in Emerald 2.2 and lower has a "timing"issue with Win95. The company who makes the control released anupdate for the control, and out of about 10 customers who intiallyreported the problem, it cured it for maybe 2. We have sinceddumped the control and are using in-house code to do SMTP mailing. We have had no issues with win95 and our in house code.

Yes, the invoice has a charge on it. I voided the original invoice, doublechecked the send methods, and recreated the invoice. I am trying to sendthem individually if that helps.

I think it also has something to do with the charge, although Iam not positive. I do remember an issue like this. What versionof Emerlad are you using?
