That depends on whether you like double-entering information.

Nope. The DLL interface fully supports multiple domains and being able
to specify the email address of a domain that is NOT your primary
address.

Just in Emerald. NTMail will consult the DLL if it can not find the
user locally.

The only table in Emerald that grows that large is your callstable. In Enterprise Manager, drill down to your calls table,riight-click and select indexes. It will tell you the size andnumber of records. If there is a significant discrepency betweenthe two, you should run the checkdb.sql script (/emerald/beta)on your database. By significant, I mean also after taking intoaccount that your typical database excluding the calls table isusually not more than about 20mb. Therefore if you DB shows 400mbused, and your calls table is only hoilding 150mb, then you shouldrun the checkdb.sql script.

The issue is that RadiusNT/Emerald does not currently supportingmanaging your IP Pools. This is best done the NAS itself for manytechnical reasons. Any NAS that supports configuring multiple IPpools and being able to specify one of the pools (like Ascend, andpossibly USR) will work fine for this.

What tables are needed to replicate only for authentication, I'm about todo this and your answer will be very useful, thanks.

You hit it right on the head. The account was changed from our 3-month planto a one-month plan and there was an old invoice that was VOIDed. DELETEingit took care of the problem.

Due to the lack of response from Dale & company, I guess one would have toassume that Serv-U and EmerAuth.dll do not work together. Is there anyplans to fix this in the future?

Yes it is Radius. Yes it does.

Is this a DB problem? Is there an error list description somewhere? Thanks for all of your help Dale.

List, Has anyone put their SQL database on a Linux box using mySQL. Since it isODBC compliant this shouldn't be to hard. I've also seen a mySQL servers inproduction. It is many, many times faster than Microsoft SQL.

With a Livingston PM3, how do you set the delay for the accounting packet. We have about 8 bouncing from our new pm3 and I need to get rid of them.

At present it would be pretty challenging to run Emerald against anything except MS SQL Server, since Emerald uses the native DB-LIBinterface (which I really doubt mySQL does). The v3 release ofEmerald will work against other databases than MS and will beODBC compatable. On a true comaparison of database systems, SQL Server holds its own against sybase and Oracle. I'm sureits possible to trim a lot of the features to get better speed, but do you really want to run your mission criticalapplications on that kind of a database system?

You can't. Until the next major ComOS release, Livingston doesn'tlet their users "think". Its not a bad concept (no rope to hangyourself) but it can cause some other issues. If its Admin loginsor accounting start/stop (not session start/stop) records, thenRadiusNT 2.5 should ack them (although you may need to put somedefaults in your database).

I am in the process of checking on it. I just got an installingwhere I could test it, but haven't had a chance to dig into it.Just because I don't respond to a message immediately, doesn't meanI'm not looking into it.

Only those tables/fields lists in the RadiusNT manual are required.
