6 out od 10 times we see this, we have the customer go through the dial-up
networking properties, and find that they have ipx & netbui enabled. We
have them turn off all options on the server types tab except TCP/IP. This
cures the problems for most.
2 out of 10 times, the IE setup wizard forgets to install "Client for
Microsoft Networks" in the network setup.
1.5 out of 10 times, we have them do a shut down, Turn the system "OFF",
wait 5 minutes and Turn it back on again.
..5 out of 10 times, it's time to power down the Portmasters & Modems and
reboot.
