In the properties for the site check your anonymous access.
The YOURSERVER_IUSR account is probably not listed there.

The is all from within the IIS management console.

Subject: IIS4.0 security problems

I think I'm crazy here so someone tell me for sure.
I have setup IIS4.0 about 4 times on a backup server we have for testing.
I had IIS3.0 on their working just fine but am having troubles with the
settings in IIS4.0 it seems. I try and setup the security such that the
web site is accessible by all computers and it still maintains the need for
a username and password when I try and access the site. I have also
checked my NTFS security on the directory structure and it seems to clearly
have the right settings. I also on my admin site within IIS have
repeteadly set it so that I can administer it from a remote host, yet when
I set it so that it also lets all hosts gain access to it, it will still
give me the error that I need to set it so that remote administration is
available. Anyone else have these same sort of frustrations? Thanks,
