I would reccomend having the mac user not use a script to login.

Make sure they have a valid username and password in the authentication area.

The mac will do fine. The only issue I have seen is with RRAS, one of my
clients had problems with mac users dialing in and getting a link dead message.

I found that by having them enter the machinename\username in for the username,
the macs could authenticate
