sql cleint win95 problems

dear sirs

we are running emerald.

I installed sql client services and emerald on win95 client
connecting through isdn.

I can start emerald, looking who is on - line, look at records no
problem.

However as soon as i want to edit a record or enter something new

I got an SQL error for instance SQL error Inserting main account or
something, all save action are giving errors.

Did I forget something, permissions? odbc problems? can someone give
me some advise where to look?
