not able to pay or create invoices

We have been running emerald since July. As of 12/31 we can no longer mark
invoices paid nor can we create new invoices. We get a sql error message
everytime. There is no error number just plain sql error. We can extend
customers so they can still connect. The datsbase shares the same device as
the log and we have 150 mgs left in the database so it's not full. Does
anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this?
