Briefly, the permconn-(MAX name)-x should force the MAX to dial out to
another device. In this case it is another Ascend product like a Pipeline
50. I do alot of dedicated ISDN connectivity and this is a must have. The
MAX has only 31 fully configurable connection profiles for subnet masks and
such putting the burden on the external product (RadiusNT).
BellSouth (my telco), changed the tariff to something similar to PacBell.
They now charge $0.01 per minute over an allotment. Our PRI's are not
subject to the tariff giving us the ability to control the monthly
connectivity costs; that's why the dial out is so important!
Well I spoke too soon. My time is up... I can't get into the client! Is
there a way to test your suggestion with an expired trial?
Radius was restarted after making the changes previously detailed. In
addition, the MAX needs to reload the external configuration 00-206 (Upd
Rem Cfg) 3 (Nailed Prof) from RadiusNT.
This one that baffles me. It does not matter what mode I'm in, text, ODBC,
or both. I spent a few hours duplicating the Ascend dictionary in the
RadAttributes and RadValues table, so there are NO parse 95 or 98 errors.
The users file loads fine.

I would love to, but unfortunately I have no idea what it is. :(
It looks like they are similar to the other RADIUS retrievable
profiles. What we do is create an MBR that has services named for
all the banners and other profiles the Max retrieves from RADIUS.
Then you can use the specific RADIUS attributes for each service
to define what attributes will be returned for that profile. Just
click on the RADIUS tab when editing the service to define the
attribute set for the user. You may need to add additional
attributed in the Emerald administrator, if you can not find an
attribute in the list.

Its both. Support after that period is either under a contract or

Did you re-start RadiusNT after making these changes? Did you also
verify in -x15 debug that the users where loaded in? It will tell you
the # of users it loaded. If its not loading enough in, then you
have a parse error near or on the user it reports.
