By 'persistent', do you mean 'static' ?

There are already some static entries which do so. For example :

172.31.0.0 255.255.0.0 172.31.1.1 3Com Etherlink 1 Local

But still, "Request timed out".

I then made a static entry:

0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.1.1 3Com Etherlink 1 Local

This yielded a "Reply from 172.31.1.1: Destination host unreachable".

What should I do ?
