If you connect 2 Windows 95 machines together with a parallel data transfer
cable (or the slower, serial-based null modem cable), you can share the
CDROM drive on one machine and use it to install the software onto the
notebook. The connection is established, using Direct Cable Connection,
installed through Control Panel / AddRemove programs / Windows System /
Communications. Make sure that both 95 machines share a common network
protocol, such as NetBEUI or IPX/SPX. Also make sure that the host machine
(the one with the CDROM) has file and printer sharing installed. Share the
CDROM drive and map to that drive from the notebook and install...
