AW: Emerald and Netscape Mail integration

Rudy,

sorry, but IMO Emerald is nothing _less_ than proprietary: due to it's
SQL database backend and the open, expandable database structure you can
add almost any functionality you require. (We already added some
functionality that _we_ need, and it works fine)

What you're talking about is that E doesn't have connectors for all
(possible) mail programs. OK, but if you really _require_ a connector
for a certain program that IEA does not/cannot/willnot support, you can
program it yourself without problems - or ask a programmer to do so.
That's what _I_ understand by a _completely_ open program design.
The only thing I'm missing are 'user-definable' buttons in E where we
can integrate our additions under the E user interface, but I think
we'll have them when the browser interface is ready (Dale? :) ).

Again, just MHO.
cu, Peter
