[RadiusNT] need help with caching odbc database

I am running the standard version of radius 3.0.174

My database is SQL 7.0 via ODBC of course, I am wondering what the BEST way
to set this up with some sort of cache fail over.

In the configuration tab I have checked both ODBC and "text backup" -- does
text backup really work since I have the standard version and not pro?

Also under the Cache tab, what are the best or what are other users putting
in as values all of those fields in this tab? By default they are all
blank.
