We are looking at implementing some sort of referral program(in the form of=
a card). We have come up with some guidelines but would like some input=
from those who have implemented a referral program.
We are looking for successes and failures so that we can decide what to and=
what not to do.
Please look these over and give us some feedback.
Here are some guidelines we thought of:
1. Cards must be turned in at time of sign up. If sign up is over phone,=
referral card must be mentioned on phone and must be returned with signed=
agreement within one month of signing up.
2. Original cards will be accepted only; no copies. Cards will be free to=
customers requesting them or we can mail them with new signup info. and=
annual renewals to get them around. We can also put a request for them on=
our website, it can forward to billing's email and I can take care of=
mailing them.
3. First time customers only are able to turn in cards. Referrals cannot be=
past customers.
4. New sign up must be a paying customer for at least 2 months or credit=
will not be applied to referring customer's account. Credit will be=
applied at the end of 2 months on annual signups.
5. We reserve the right to waive or refuse credits for any appropriate=
reason. Reasons deemed appropriate are at PowerNet representative's=
discretion only. Examples of appropriate reasons:
a. Bad check received from either referring or referred customer.
b. Referring or referred account lapses without payment or without proper=
cancellation policy being followed.
6. Refunds will not, under any circumstances be given on credits received=
for referral program. Credits for referral programs are non transferrable.
Regards,
John
