Make sure you're ODBC connection is set to use TCP/IP and not named pipes...

Subject: [Emerald] log-in problems

We've just installed emerald and are testing the various features before
going live. We are having problems connecting from clients who are sitting
behind MS Proxy 2.0. I have enabled port 1433 on the proxy and can login
through SQL Manager and query analyzer.

I have seen the KB articles on this, but they talk of the opposite scenario
i.e. SQL/Emerald behind the proxy and clients outside.

Please note, I have no problems connecting with clients who are connected .
directly to the SQL server.

Please help.
