I think you can use named pipes, but it will be necessary to build an
lmhosts file. A sample (lmhosts.sam) file can be found in the \windows
directory on Win9x machines and in the %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc on
NT boxes. The file must be named lmhosts (no extension). To refresh the
NetBIOS cache after modifying this file, type the following in a DOS box:

nbtstat -R

Then, when you type...

nbtstat -c

....you should see the resources you added.
