Did you try going into sqlserver and truncating the log from there?

Subject: [Emerald] Call online
I'm running Emerald 2.5.342 with SQL 6.5.
My database quit responding this afternoon and quit authenticating.
It looks like it's because my error log is filling up. When I look in
the
error logs they are filing up which is why I think the service died.
I see a bunch of errors beginning with:
bufwait timeout: BUF_IO
Following that:
Error: 17824
Unable to write to ListenOn connection "\\...\pipe\sql\guery,
Loginname
'sa', hostname"
OS Error: 232, the pipe is being closed
Error: 1608, Severity 21, state 2
I can't run database maint from the Emerald Administrator. It asks me
to
truncate the log file then just freezes.
I ran dbcc checkdb and it completes but doesn't help.
I cannot trim my call online.
The system is not updating the on-line users so even if someone logs
off
they still show on and cannot log on again. Everyone else can still
authenticate but do not show up on the on-line view when they do.
I can't seem to find anything in the archives.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Matt Branyik
