Do you know how to verify that a given IP address does in fact have
reverse-DNS enabled (without dialing in myself until I get assigned each and
every one of the dynamically assigned IP's)? Or how to do it right, if I am
in fact messing something up?
STOP, them Microsoft DNS service. Then, get a text file that you have
already prepared by hand to have all the reverse IP's in it. Copy this file
over the previous in-addr.arpa file (obviously making sure you give it the
previous name as well).
Restart the DNS server, and choose to refresh all servers.
VOILA!
