Re: [NTISP] How to do Reverse-DNS with DNS Manager?

Do you know how to verify that a given IP address does in fact have
reverse-DNS enabled (without dialing in myself until I get assigned each and
every one of the dynamically assigned IP's)? Or how to do it right, if I am
in fact messing something up?

Thanks for any advice anyone can supply.

yes, do a tracert to that IP address and if it is properly inverse addressed
it will show the name, not just the IP address.

After you make any changes in the DNS settings using the DNS Manager, be
sure to update the data file. I did it just as you outlined and it gave me
the proper results. Remember also, if you are simply doing a right click to
ADD A NEW HOST and then you add the name of a port, it does not
automatically default to add the inverse address, you must select it.
