I found no problem with my TC, but was also having the same problem. I went
to the different modem manufactures web sites and found that some 56K
flex/v.90 modems made before Sept 1, 1998 did not have the true v.90 drivers
on them. Once I explained this to my customers having the problems, they
contacted their computer's vendor and got an updated version of v.90 for the
modem. Problem was fixed.
