It has also to be associated with perl in W3SVC, eg. the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC\Parameters\ScriptMap
should have the item '.pl' with the value
c:\perl\5.02005\bin\MSWin32-x86-object\Perl.exe %s %s
