Its NOT a stupid question. Very few NASes out there are RADIUS
COMPLIANT. Most are RADIUS compatable, but being a member of
the RADIUS working group, we deal with interpretation and
interopratability issues all the time.

Cisco's support and implementation of RADIUS is pretty good as
of recent. However, Cisco was a VERY late comer in the
RADIUS market, compared to most other vendors (especially
given their size). The original CISCO implementations has
so many problems, that most were not usueable in large
scale until recently.
