Thats really about all you can do. The problem is that if you create
the entries, the Ascend will just look for the next higher one up.
This really gets bad if you are using the DEFAULT/ANY temp
workaround, and the ascend/RaiusNT just sit there jabbering all day.

You could modify your trimlogs stored proc to delete the entries if
you don't want them there. I thought Ascend has a way of turning that
wonderful feature off, but maybe I'm wrong. :(
