3COM NAS Port Setup
I have figured out how 3COM Hiper Cards and Netserver cards number the
NAS ports so they will work with your radius.
If you are using a Hiper ARC
Slot:1 1-24 Hiper DSP
Slot:2 257-280 Hiper DSP
Slot:3 513-536 Hiper DSP
Slot:4 769-792 Hiper DSP
Slot:5 1025-1048 Hiper DSP
Slot:6 1281-1304 Hiper DSP
Slot:7 1537-1560 Hiper DSP
Slot:8 1793-1816 Hiper DSP
Slot:9 2049-2072 Hiper DSP
Slot:10 2305-2328 Hiper DSP
Slot:11 2561-2584 Hiper DSP
Slot:12 2817-2840 Hiper DSP
Slot:13 3073-3096 Hiper DSP
Slot:14 3329-3352 Hiper DSP
Slot:15 3585-3608 Hiper DSP
Slot:16 Hiper ARC
Slot:17 NMC
No matter whether you have a Quad modem or an 24 port DSP they start at
the same number. The only difference is if you
have a Quad card you add three more to the beginning number of that
Slot:?, then start at the first number of the next slot. If
you have a Hiper DSP then you add 23 to the first number of each slot.
The above chart is what you would use for a chassis
with Hiper DSP's (24port).
If you are using a Netserver card as apposed to the Hiper ARC then you
start
Slot:1 Dual T-1 Card
Slot:2 5-8 Quad modem card
Slot:3 9-12 Quad modem card
Slot:4 13-16 Quad modem card
Slot:5 17-20 Quad modem card
Slot:6 21-24 Quad modem card
Slot:7 25-28 Quad modem card
Slot:8 29-32 Quad modem card
Slot:9 33-36 Quad modem card
Slot:10 37-40 Quad modem card
Slot:11 41-44 Quad modem card
Slot:12 45-48 Quad modem card
Slot:13 49-52 Quad modem card
Slot:14 Empty
Slot:15 Empty
Slot:16 Netserver Card
Slot:17 NMC
Upgrading from the Netserver to the Hiper ARC and have a combonation
of
Quad cards and Hiper cards.
Slot:1 will be occupied by your Dual T-1 Card
Slot:2 257-280 Quad
Slot:3 513-516 Quad
Slot:4 769-772 Quad
Slot:5 1025-1028 Quad
Slot:6 1281-1284 Quad
Slot:7 1537-1540 Quad
Slot:8 1793-1796 Quad
Slot:9 2049-2052 Quad
Slot:10 2305-2308 Quad
Slot:11 2561-2564 Quad
Slot:12 2817-2820 Quad
Slot:13 3073-3076 Quad
Slot:14 3329-3352 Hiper DSP
Slot:15 3585-3608 Hiper DSP
Slot:16 Hiper ARC
Slot:17 NMC
Netserver 8/16
NAS Port starts at 3 and ends at 18 for 16 modems, Starts at 3 and ends
at 10 for 8 modems.
Have a nice day. Boy this took a ton of looking on the Radius server in
DOS mode to manually input this stuff.
