ConnectInfo field is blank.
We have an ascend, is it possible to put the modem connection speed in this
field?

If you're referring to the Connect Info field in the "OnLine" area of
Emerald (users currently online), the answer is no.
There are two connection speeds associated with each session (Ascend):
Ascend-Xmit-Rate (user's initial download speed)
Ascend-Data-Rate (user's initial upload speed)
The data for both of these are only sent in the accounting Stop record
(Ascend). All info you see in the Online area is sent along with the
accounting Start record. The only way you can tell what speeds a user is
currently connected at is via the following methods:
1. finger user@max.whatever.com (or finger @max.whatever.com)
if you have finger enabled on the Max.
2. SNMP management
3. telnet into the Max, go into Terminal Server mode and type
"show users" (or abbreviate it like "sh us").
Numbers 1 and 3 actually display the same info.
