I forgot to mention that if I set the attribute Framed-Address to 0.0.0.0 the
NS Plus assign the address from the pool and if I set to some fixed address of
my network it also works but in both cases there are no account records
generated and worst, when I tried connect in an old NS they do not accept
0.0.0.0 in the Framed-Address attribute and thus drop the line.

Dale,

We have a liscense for 1000 MBRs and in my database there are the "liscenses" table only so whats the diff. between liscenses and licenses

The old and new netserver will accept 255.255.255.254 to assign an IP
address from the pool.

Hi,

We are running Radius NT 2.2 along with emerald 2.1.11,
We Had Ascend MAX 4060 and Portmasters Livingstones, unfortunately the
Ascend
boxes blew ups
and we had to replace them over the weekend.
We replaced them with ACC Tigris Access Servers, and we have some
problems
with it. It is Authenticating
but doesn't send the accounting Information to the SQL database.
The Livingston are working fine without any errors.
At first we had a problem with the Acct-Session-Id We had to increase
It's size

from 10 Bytes to 20 Bytes, Now that is solved.
We have a different problem now, It doesn't seem to send the NAS Port
or the
Username to the database

There's a copy of the Radius Log

This solved the connection problem but I still have problems with accounting.
Here is a syslog message from NS Plus:

Jun 13 20:03:45 nsplus At 20:02:07, Facility "User Manager", Level "CRITICAL"::
AUTH: No acknowledgement from RADIUS accounting servers, reached max number of
timeouts

I'm using the same RadiusNT Server for Authentication and Accounting.

Have you checked the output from running RadiusNT in debug mode. We found
that the Netserver Plus was sending a larger than normal session ID, and as
a result, the field wasn't large enough and the record was rejected.
Checkout the debug errors and see if this is your problem.

I have installed RadiusNT 2.5 on a new server and want to convert our
existing 1.16.60 Radius7.mdb (Access 97) to 2.5 Radius97.mdb schema. Where
can I find detailed instructions? I found in the archives how to convert
from 2.2 to 2.5, but not 1.xx to 2.5. Am I going to have to do it in two
steps...1. to 2.2 to 2.5?

What you are seeing is an Accounting-ON request. You should
upgrade to RadiusNT 2.5, as it handles these correctly.

You should be using 255.255.255.254 NOT 0.0.0.0.

To be honest, 1.16 is really old, and I wouldn't know the full extentof its database support. The best way to do it would be to takethe 2.5 schema and just compare table by table.
