Its an administrative login. This is covered in the PM3 ComOS
release notes. RadiusNT assign port 9999, because the accounting
records doesn't have a NAS-Port, but one is required in the DB scehma.

If you are talking about two ISDN serial terminal adapters, you can't.Only one think can be in chare of the MPP protocol. For each mode, thatsthe modem itself. When you bring two modems together, NT would need tobe the controller, and it can't. The only way this would work would beto have two serial connections on the TA, acting like two seperate modems.I don't know of any that have such a thing. You'd be better off tryingto find a device that could take in two BRIs and a Ethernet.

You need to create the server file. This is covered in the RadiusNTdocumentation, under the testing section.

Most likely the secret you have in the clients file for the RRAS machinedoesn't match the secret you have in RRAS itself.

3Com has a fairly active list that has been very helpful in getting things working with their TC chassis. I frequently see posts on Netservers as well. The info to subscibe is:

Dale, I was sent our license key for version 2.2 back in February. Now, Ihad no problem running Radius NT in text mode for the last couple of monthseven though the key did not work. Since we are small, and dial up is notour main service, it has not been a problem, till now. We now have 100users, and face the problem. I have taken out the license key, and put itin again. It says 'Error validating key' but goes on.

I am running RadiusNT version 2.2 in text only mode. I have put the companyname and the key in the radius admin box. Each time, it tells me "ErrorValidating Key"

Is my key bad? I still have the original e-mail holding they key....

OK, I'm not understanding something then. My customer is wanting 128Kaccess. He has been only using one modem and getting 64K DUN access. He justrecently installed another ISDN modem to enable him to get the use of a fullchannel.

I'm using RadiusNT in text mode and Ascend's MAX 4000. Is RadiusNT the placeto configure to give him 128K or is it in the MAX?

Thanks,Ken

In RadiusNT you must give him access to two logons. Otherwisehe will only get 64K. He only needs one ISDN terminal adapter(modem) to do this, not two. He cannot bind two modems together.

I do not think you can multilink 2 ISDN modems. They alreay do this viaMPPP. I have never heard of anything trying to multilink 2 of them for256K.-----Original Message-----From: Kenneth Jordan <jordan@eaglei.net>To: RadiusNT <radiusnt@iea-software.com>Date: Wednesday, June 03, 1998 11:21 AMSubject: Multilink ISDN Logon Problem

On the second logon account, do I configure it exactly the way I have theother keeping in mind that he needs a static ip, or can I give it a randomip since the first logon has the static ip?

Here is the way I have the current account:

name Password = "password" User-Service = Framed-User, Framed-Protocol = PPP, Framed-Address = 206.24.74.183, Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.0, Framed-Routing = Broadcast-Listen, Framed-MTU = 1500, Framed-Compression = Van-Jacobson-TCP-IP

Can the second account be set up like this:

name2 Password = "password2" User-Service = Framed-User

Thanks for your help,Ken
