That was it, thanks!

How do I upgrade to 2.5? I have just purchased 2.2

I dont have it in production yet, so would be great to make the change now
rather than later.

Yes,

We've build our own "Emerald" like program in Vb5.0 Enterprise, it works
great.
Plans are to put the program in the public domain to enhance further
developement by others. Anyone interested ?

What it does ?
- add/modify/deleter users in the RadiusNT SQL database
- print registrationsheets
- generate, print/email invoices
- export invoicedata to external accounting package
- overview of online users

Additional scripts (ASP) which
- provides overview of user activity (login times, dates etc)
- provides overview of dynamic user homepages (i.e. no-pay, no homepage
listing)
- automatic IE4 configuration based on Radius database

We've build this package for our ourselves primarily because Emerald didn't
support all the gadgets we needed with our external accounting package.

Best Regards,

Paul Rensel

I would like to see what you have done. I have been writing
a similar program, all web based written in ASP, although it
does not have the accounting part finished as of yet. I
have been recently converting it to a VB5 program.

From: "Jerry Mahler" <Jerry_Mahler@mw.3com.com>

I just installed RadiusNT 25 on Windows NT Server 4.0.

I used the example clients file (with additions for the local machine) and
the example users file (adjusting the expiration date to be in the future).

I launched RadiusNT in debug mode ("radius -x15").

However, when I enter "radlogin steve testing 1" in a separate console
window, I get the following error:

"(null): couldn't open server to find servers"

In the radius console, I see the decrypted pwd as some garbage string.

Any ideas?

I tried the above to help in debugging my REAL problem, which is that I
can't get a Windows NT Server 4.0 Routing and Remote Access Server to
authenicate any users. I get the error that the CHAP response (which seems
to be an emtpy string) is incorrect. Any ideas on this problem?

Perhaps my two problems are related to a setup issue???

I got a customer you has 2 ISDN modems and wanting to multilink link. He has
a static IP address. He can get the first modem to dial up but when he tries
to connect with 2nd modem get the msg disconnected from remote host. I'm
using text mode and here is his configuration:

name Password = "password"
User-Service = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-Address = 206.24.74.183,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.0,
Framed-Routing = Broadcast-Listen,
Framed-MTU = 1500,
Framed-Compression = Van-Jacobson-TCP-IP

What am I missing here?

I do not think you can multilink 2 ISDN modems. They alreay do this viaMPPP. You can bind as many BRIs as you want together....if you haveconcurrency control on just make sure you have enough enable (2 perBRI). Also, the client end needs the equipment to do this same goesfor the server end. I have never tried 2 different modems...I haveused up to 8BRIs dialing in (one IP, MPP) though with no problems.

I would like to be able to log the connection speed in the calls table for a3COM/USR Netserver/8 ISDN.

I have added the Speed_Of_Connection column to the calls table, but it doesnot see to record any data.

Is there anything I need to do to the NAS to get it to send this informationto radiusNT?

Does anybody know of the location of any resources specific to theNetserver, as the 3COM site is a minefield to navigate and I dont seem to beable to find any relevant information.
