I too have a VB5 program with similar functionality. It also duplicates the
online tab of emerald. Has various graphs, such as new users by day/week.
A port from emerald to the NT SAM for username, and passwords. An a sync
feature from emerald to MCIS 1.0/ 2.0 in the works.

It uses an ODBC connection to login to SQL Server.

If you would like to see an example of the login. Get my Emerald to SAM
conversion utility at ftp://ftp.centramedia.net/distrib/beta/emtosab1.zip
create an ODBC DSN named emerald, install and run the program.
