Or just give them the client files on a disk or allow them to download them
and run it directly on their machine, works for us.

If you use Winsock Proxy, yes. Only Web-Proxy can't do it.
To use Winsock-Proxy you need to install a piece of client software on your
machine, and therefore you need an
netbios connection to the proxy-server and a valid nt-login... only useful
for company-access to the internet.
