Good chkdsk tool for NT4

Hi-
Can anyone recommend any good scandisk tools for NT? I've got some
troubles on one of my machines that cannot be fixed by the built-in chkdsk
program. One old file in a web dir refuses to be deleted, even with all
www/ftp services shut down. It returns "the file or directory is corrupt &
unreadable, run the chkdsk utility". Half of my recycle bin also reports
the same. Upon the next boot. Chkdsk runs and completes without finding
any errors & the cycle continues...
