I have been tackling this problem for a week now and have gotten =nowhere(mabey someone out there can help me out). I have windows NT =server 4.0 and IIS 4.0 installed on the machine. I have also installed =access 97 and the odbc files. I have a database that i have successfully =exported the Forms and Querys to dynamic web files (.asp) they seem to =work fine so i tried to export the reports. unfortunally the reports =don't export dynamically . so every time you want the reports updated =for the web you need to physically go to that machine and run the macro =to export the reports. Well now i get to the problem. I wrote a BAT file =to run the the export process for the reports and wanted to allow people =on the web to be able to run this batch file as a CGI. So i went in and =added a cgi-bin gave it exe permisions and was unable to get the bat to =run (using "<!--#exec cgi=3D"/cgi-bin/{batfile.bat}"" -->" in a shtml =file) So then i found that you need to add app mapping in IIS 4.0 this =is where i think that i have messed up . i added the extension .bat to =the app mapping of the cgi-bin and associated it with ="c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe /c". I think this is the command interpetor i =need to use but it still won't run the bat file as a cgi.=20
